The myth of Medea in contemporary German literature: questions about identity and otherness
című előadására.

The myth of Medea has been the subject of numerous reinterpretations in European literature, particularly in German literature from the early 20th century to the present day. It brings together two fundamental themes: female power that breaks all socially acceptable boundaries and her status as a foreigner who challenges identity and borders. Particular mention should be made of the reworking of the myth by Heiner Müller and Christa Wolf, as well as certain 21st-century theatrical adaptations, such as those by Schimmelpfennig and Loher.
